Back with a shout—or rather with delicate notes and composition, the 4th Ubud Village Jazz Festival will once again bring this music enthusiast’s most wanted quality event to Bali. The festival will showcase performances of world-class jazz musicians from around the globe to the delight of the festivals’ followers

Since the Ubud Village Jazz Festival (UVIF) was first held four years ago the event has become a respected barometer for international jazz musicians to present their talent in Bali. This year the festival is still committed to delivering this one of a kind ‘true’ jazz festival that has become a melting pot for diverse and unique groups of jazz artists.

This year, the 4th annual UVJF invites some of Indonesia’s most respected jazz musicians. These include Margie Segers, Oele Pattiselano and Glen Dauna with his sons Rega and Indra who will perform together as The Daunas. The international line up includes the enthralling collaboration of Reuben Rogers and Peter Bernstein, the Youn Woo Park trio from South Korea, the LOUIS! Project from Holland, Ian Scionti Trio, who is supported by the Accion Cultural Espanola and many more. They will bring their best to performances on three stages with distinctive local Balinese favourites Padi, Giri, and Subak. Festival guests are to be be spoiled with a culinary experience of 26 different booth choices and a 1 hour wine free flow provided by the sponsor.

In keeping with a commitment to deliver educational messages and incentives, the Ubud Village Jazz Festival 2016 will for the third time promote Jazz education in Indonesia through The Bali Jazz Summer School. This school will be held over 3 days before the start of the festival and will be divided into 6 classes featuring, drums, piano, double bass, brass, reed instruments and vocals.
